Hay fever, commonly known as summer catarrh and medically termed, as seasonal/ perennial Allergic Rhinitis is a manifestation of underlying endogenic allergy.

Sneezing, profuse watery nasal discharge and nasal obstructions, irritating redness and watering of eyes, dull headache and mild fever characterize this febrile catarrhal condition mimicking influenza.

In this condition, atopic (immediate) hypersensitivity develops to foreign particles/antigens in individuals who have an inherited lowered resistance or Endogenic allergy. The action of each ingredient is as follows:

Ferrum phosphoricum: Commonly called Ferri Phosphate, is the remedy for first stage of all febrile disturbances especially for catarrhal affections of the respiratory tract.

Natrum muriaticum: Commonly called Sea Salt, is suitable for violent cold which is brought on by least exposure to sun and is associated with a sensation of itching in nasal and lachrymal passages.

Kali sulphuricum: Commonly called Potassium Sulfate is applicable to the 3rd stage of inflammation. Relieves colds with yellow, slimy expectoration or discharge of watery matter, catarrh with yellowish, viscous secretion, blocked nose, loss of smell and itching of nose.

Kali muriaticum: Commonly called Potassium Chloride is suitable for stuffy cold in head, dry coryza or white, thick discharge.

Baptisia tinctoria: Commonly called Wild Indigo, relieves sneezing, aching head, sore throat, pains and soreness all over the body and marked exhaustion.

Bryonia alba: Commonly called White Bryony, is used to treat severe fluent coryza with much sneezing, aching in the forehead and watering of eyes.
