The action of each ingredient is as follows:
Bryonia alba: Commonly called white Bryony, acts on
mucous membrane of the respiratory tract and lungs. It relieves
the soreness of trachea and larynx thereby bringing relief from
dry, hacking cough that is usually accompanied by hoarseness
and chest pain.
Ipecacuanha: Commonly called Ipecac, has marked effect
on bronchial secretions and pulmonary engorgement. It relieves
dry, teasing cough associated with severe breathlessness, wheezing
rattling in chest, gagging and vomiting.
Antimonium tartaricum: Commonly called tartar emetic,
acts on inflamed mucous membranes. It helps in clearing the accumulated
mucus in the air passage, which is otherwise difficult to expectorate
in attacks of bronchitis and dyspnoea.
Phosphorous: In inflamed respiratory passages it provides
relief from hoarseness and dry cough with constant desire to
'clear the throat'.
Drosera rotundifolia: Commonly called sundew, acts
mainly on the respiratory apparatus and relieves from whooping
and convulsive type of cough.
Justicia adhatoda Commonly call vasaca: Relieves from
breathlessness, cough and sneezing seen in acute inflammatory
conditions of the respiratory tract.
INDICATIONS:
For temporary relief of dry, irritating spasmodic or continuous
cough. Loose, productive cough with difficult expectoration.
Fever, headache sneezing and pain in the chest associated with
cough.
DOSAGE:
You may take Cough Aid with meals or on an empty stomach.
- Adults and Children over 12: 1 tablet 3 times a day.
- Children 2 to 12 years of age: 1 tablet 2 times a day.
- Children under 2 years of age, consult a doctor.
- Tablets may be chewed, swallowed or dissolved in a cup of
lukewarm water. This product will not cause drowsiness or impair
ability to operate a motorized vehicle and may be taken with
other medications.
