Homeopathic Hemorrhoid Remedy
Bakson's Homeopathic HEMORRHOID AID is a time-tested homeopathic formula,
that provides temporary symptomatic relief from piles (hemorrhoids) and associated
conditions.
Piles or hemorrhoids, terms used interchangeably, refer to one
of the commonest ailment that afflicts humankind. The incidence
of piles apparently increases with age and it seems likely that
at least 50% of people over the age of 50 have some degree of
hemorrhoid formation. However the condition is by no means confined
to older individuals and piles are encountered in people of all
ages including, occasionally, young children. Men seem to be
affected roughly twice as frequently as women.
What causes piles? When the submucous veins of the
anal canal develop varicosity, hemorrhoids develop. The actual
cause for the varicosity is not known, but in many patients there
is a hereditary factor. Increased hydrostatic pressure in the
portal venous system, such as during pregnancy, straining at
stool, or with cirrhosis; facilitate the formation of piles.
How are they medically classified? Depending upon their
position in the anal canal, piles are classified as primary and
secondary. Another way of classifying piles is internal/external.
Internal piles arise at the junction of the lower rectum and
anal canal, and the engorged veins are covered with mucous membrane.
External piles, includes dilated perianal veins and redundant
folds of perianal skin. The engorged veins are covered by squamous
epithelium.
How are they clinically manifested? The 1st symptom is usually
blood stained stools, which are not associated with pain. Sometimes
there is a sense of fullness or local irritation. If untreated,
piles prolapse resulting in rectal discomfort, a feeling of incomplete
evacuation, mucous discharge and anal itching. Swelling of the
anal opening and spasm of the anal sphincter often accompany
prolapse. In internal piles, pain is not a usual feature until
thrombosis, infection, or erosion of the overlying lining of
the mucosa complicates the situation. External piles, because
they lie under the skin, are quite often painful, particularly
if there is sudden, increase in their mass.
